A new addition to the family!

So I decided to start a blog to keep my family and friends updated on our new life together. Married life has been a blessing, but we have recently found out about a new blessing that will change our lives; Baby Maples. Yes thats right, we are going to bring a little piece of me and Shon into this world! This could be a scary thing!! We are SO excited and can not wait to see what joy this little wonder adds to our lives.

Today was our first Dr. appointment and everything went great! We got to see the little jelly bean's heartbeat that was beating 154 beats per minute! It was so surreal to see that little thing in my belly and the little heart flicker. It made all of the sickness I have been encountering well worth it! I have been extremely sick and things are the worst in the morning, but I keep reminding myself that its a good thing. It has been really hard to keep it a secret so we decided to wait until we went to the Dr. and made sure everything was going well.

I am currently 8 weeks and 1 day so the projected due date is October 7, 2010!! It is so crazy to think that we will have a new addition to our family christmas' this year. I am going to try to keep this blog updated on how things are going for my family and friends!

Shon is the sweetest husband ever! When I met him at the hospital he was waiting for me with a little sack. He gave me the sweetest gift I could have ever imagined. He went to Brighton and got me a charm bracelet with a few charms and the awesome charm was the one that said "Mom" on it. It brought so much excitement and joy to me and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband! Here is a picture of the charm bracelet he bought me. Its a little blurry, but its as good as the iphone would do!
